Effective March 9, 2015, the parking lot of Rainbow Falls, Wailuku State Park-Hilo, will be undergoing renovations and will be closed off for vehicular traffic and parking. We will be providing an alternate viewing point of Wailuku State Park in an area above Rainbow Falls, called Boiling Pots.
Boiling Pots has been selected due to its nice vantage point for viewing the falls and river for the approximate six (6) months that the Rainbow Falls parking lot will be closed.
Please arrive at hotel pickup location 10-15 minutes prior to pickup. All times are approximations.
**Flight times may vary; verify flight information at the time of booking.
Passengers with asthma or other respiratory problems should not take this tour.
Moderate walking; please wear walking shoes and dress comfortably (expect sun, wind and at times rain conditions).
Routes may be modified or restricted due to advisories by the National Parks, National Weather Service, etc. (road closures, venue closure, etc.
Tour features can change daily as we cannot predict weather and lava viewing conditions.
We do not guarantee sighting of lava flows. Surface lava flows may be present but may not be visible due to environmental conditions or time constraints.
